Hard Gold Plating Services
Hard Gold Plating | MIL-DTL-45204 Type I ASTM B488
Our gold plating line is an electrolytic plating process using a DC current alloyed with cobalt commonly called hard gold. Hard Gold plating can be used for improved conductivity, reflectivity, corrosion resistance and wear resistance. For improved adhesion gold plating is usually plated over another thin layer of plating. We use Electroless Nickel for that layer. Gold plating thickness can vary from .00001” to .0001”. Common callouts are usually .00003”-.00005” thick. The Electroless Nickel base layer thickness can be specified as well. |
